This extension MUST be uses with a gang box. This elite will entend into the wall and will not work without a box in the wall to mount to. If you need a straight box with vent then purchase the external elite box or the extension to make sure it will fit.

This mount is mainly used for perpendicular installation where the doorbell is on a side wall next to the door.
